Finding just the right picture and hanging it in your home should be an easy and enjoyable experience; after all, if chosen carefully, a beautiful picture is very pleasing to the eye and also adds beauty to your home. These are the thoughts flowing through my mind as I head out to buy just the right picture to hang in that carefully chosen spot. As I lock my front door and get into my car, I feel I am off on an adventure, a great treasure hunt. If all goes well, I will return home with my prize, a picture that has appealed to me, moved me, the perfect picture to fill that vacant spot!
After visiting a few stores without much success, I decide to try one last shop, eureka, a picture that is beyond comparison to the others I have seen is found! Driving home, thoughts of how splendid my treasure will be in that special spot are floating through my mind only to be stopped dead by a new invading thought. I have to HANG this picture! Now I’m in trouble! The last time I attempted to hang a picture I ended up with multiple nail holes in the wall and a picture that was lopsided! In the end my dear husband came to the rescue. It was all a very frustrating experience.
I arrive home and very carefully carry my treasure inside the house and lean it against the wall under that vacant spot where it is to be hung. Maybe if I just leave it there my very capable husband will get the hint when he arrives home. The day progresses and my treasure stares back at me from its spot on the floor, seeming to challenge me. The challenge ignites a brilliant idea, I quickly logon to my computer and search the Home Depot site for hints on how to hang a picture. Well, I tell you, I came upon an absolutely wonderful video and just had to share it with all you picture-hanging-challenged-people out there.
Oh, by the way, my treasure is hanging in its appointed spot and looks simply sublime. This was the best picture-hanging-experience I have ever had! 🙂
